Some scientific informations : 

It's apart of "Lamnides. This group consists of five sorts and be characterized by the big size of those that compose it. Their body is heavy, spindle-shaped and wide-eyed a long conical snout, gray colour on the back and white on the stomach. Their teeth are in shape of blades and their branchiales cracks are very long.

The smallest of  the ive sorts measure from 3 to 3.7 metres while the great white shark measures up to 6.5 metres. They frequent coastal and oceanic waters, surface zone of tides and closed bay, in 1280 metres deep. It's spread in all the seas, moderated cold in tropical.

At this time their mode of reproduction is unknown but the marks of jaws on females lets envisage a violent lovemaking. The female can give birth from 2 to 16 little white sharks.

The food of this great predator consists of navy tortoises, water birds.But their favoritefoods are sea lions and seals.

The teeth of the Great White Shark are flat with triangular shape, carved and very sharp.And the teeth of youngs formed by smaller elements looks like the hooks of the dog or the teeth of the " Mako ",to snatch smaller preys.
 

The behaviour:

The number of attacks by Great White Shark are only a few, and if there is any it's due to the increase of number of bathers on the sea, and the movements they make that are translated by the shark as the muddled movements of a wounded prey or looks like a sea lion.

The "Jaws" film has tarnished the image of this fabulous predator as a man-eater, by showing him as a bloodthirsty murderer.The curiosity of this fish often brings it to approached the boats or divers.But if there is no provocation or no incitation with some blood, this approach will not cause anything, and the shark will return in the depth of the ocean as calm as when he came.

 
Furthermore, the resemblance shape between the surfer and the sea lions is blatant from the point of the shark, and this thing often misleads the shark, wich then thinks of attacking its favorite foods. Human being does not appear in his diet menu, as confirmed by Rodney Fox, one of the biggest specialists of the Great White Shark in the world.

Regrettably, the attacks of the Great White Sharks of some divers in the world have aggravated the ancestral fear. And this has led the extermination even of other numbers of totally harmless kinds of sharks, without trying at least to understand why and how the facts happened.

 

Fortunately, today some of recognizez scientists has bend over the case of the Great White Shark, so the Jean Michel Cousteau's last book did. Thanks to the participation of Rodney Fox, Valérie and Ron Taylor for their great knowledge in sharks. It is necessary to admit that such strength of the nature can only force the respect.

The power of its jaws is plainly phenomenal and fromthe tests made by the "Cousteau" team haved demonstrated it to us. The other experiences have realized to define the pressure of the jaws of the shark on similar sorts, but smaller size as the "Mako".

"JAWS" film was fatal just like the Great White Shark but in the same time it also allowed numbers of people to be interested in it with passion. "The Taylors" (Valerie and Ron) have managed "to tame" some White Sharks so that they will do the attack on right time, and this project is also made to allow film directors such as "Steven Spielberg" to have a possibility to make various scenes of film to be more realism. They are also experts of the subject and they do not hesitate to get wet to make a trial of new suits "anti-sharks".

The Great White Shark is a protected animal in  South Africa, Australia and in California; fishing and business this animal is forbidden. But the greediness of people and the stupidity of ancestral faiths of certain populations have provoked big losses of the family of the sharks.

Regrettably, it is more spread to see the sharks killed for their fins and their jaws than for their therapeutic virtues.

The ancestor of the great white shark :

You can compare and imagine by yourself, even the gigantic size of the "Carcharodon Megalodon" ancestor of the Great White Shark that was about 12 meters long for a weight of about 13 tons corresponding to the size of a "whale shark" today. TAHT GIVES THE SHUDDER!!!
